If you want to use this motor, we recommend using a high current step driver like the DRV 8825. Standard drivers like the A4988 can generate the rated current of 2.0 A for this motor, but this is prone to overheating at the limit of their specification and trigger their thermal overload protection. As a result, the engine stops running but no circuits are damaged.
Also note that the step angle for this motor is 1.8 degrees instead of 0.9 degrees for the rest of our range. When upgrading to a Super Whopper, make sure that the steps / mm of your firmware are adjusted accordingly (i.e. double).
