This is the Micro Swiss All Metal Hotend Kit for Wanhao Duplicator 6 with the following improvements:
slot clamping system
No set screw on the thing and damage to the thermotube
Significantly better heat transfer (this is great !!!)
Easier disassembly and settings
Precise control of the bore diameter
Micro Swiss All Metal Hotend Kit features:
This upgrade includes a modified thermal insulation tube and a modified nozzle with a modified cooling block. The thermal insulation pipe consists of 2 different materials. The lower thermal break is made of stainless steel and the colder upper part is made of aluminum. Stainless steel was used for thermal breaking because it has low thermal conductivity, and aluminum was used for the upper part because it had much better thermal conductivity to dissipate any heat from the filament. With the entire metal hotend, you can print at a much higher temperature than possible using the original with a PTFE liner. Another benefit of an all-metal hot-end design is more consistent control of the melting chamber. During the slow extrusion rate, the transition zone from solid to molten plastic in a PTFE-lined hotend tends to creep up, creating more thread-like prints. In all metal constructions, a transition zone is always constant and is located directly at the heat break. With a rapid extrusion rate, the PTFE tube does not have enough thermal conductivity to properly melt all of the emerging plastic. In the case of original extruders, this limitation occurs at around 60 mm / s, depending on the nozzle size. All metal hotends solve this problem. Plastic is surrounded by heat-conducting nozzles along its entire length.
