Have you long been using two different colors or material prints?
3D color printing has never been so easy. E3D has paired the proven components with innovation. Most of the firmware and slicers already support dual-extrusion. Also the RAMPS 1.4 supports dual extrusion. Difference between E3D Chimera and E3D Cyclops They are almost identical but have a big difference. The E3D Chimera has two heating elements and two nozzles. The Cyclops has only one nozzle and one heating element. With the E3D Chimera the temperature can be different in both Nozzle.
Advantage of E3D Chimera
• Can process two different filament materials (for example, ABS and wood) • Ideal support material for printing (ABS and HIPS or also PLA and PVA)
• It is also possible to use the E3D Volcano Nozzele (0.60mm, 0.80mm, 1.00mm and 1.20mm)
Advantage of E3D Cyclops
• Requires only one Nozzle
• You can still use the whole building space
Properties E3D Chimera and E3D Cyclops
• Only for 1.75mm filament • Bowden System • Very light, therefore almost no weight on the Z-axis • Compatible with all E3D v6 Nozzle
• You need two extruder engines.
